Welcome to what I hope is the internet’s first port of call for anyone who wants to read a review of any He-Man or She-Ra televisual experience. As of 23rd May 2018, we’ve completed 130 reviews of the 1980s Filmation series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and are halfway through reviews of all 93 episodes of She-Ra: Princess of Power.

After this (with a deep sense of foreboding) I shall review the 65 episodes of the early 1990s series The New Adventures of He-Man. I’ve not seen any of those since 1991 or thereabouts, and even then I thought it was rubbish, so I’m not convinced I really want to put myself through that. But for you, dear reader, I will.

I will then be looking at the 39 episodes of the 2002 series, which I believe was entitled simply Masters of the Universe, and finally, I’ll post some reviews of the new Netflix/Dreamworks She-Ra series. Depending on how long She-Ra runs, then there’s a very faint possibility I may be posting reviews of later episodes when it’s actually released, which will be an exciting experience for me to be reviewing something in real-time.

Along the way, I’ll review the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special, and I’ll try to do that at Christmas time, probably this year but maybe in 2019, depending how far along with She-Ra we are when Christmas comes.

If I feel like giving myself the cinematic equivalent of a frontal lobotomy, I might also watch and review the 1987 film, Masters of the Universe, but no promises with that one.

Most recent reviews will be shown on the right hand side of the page, and you can also access all the old reviews on the Contents page here.

So here we go. Do we all have the Power?

  1. …you don’t have to force yourself if you don’t want to do these reviews. And from what I read, it REALLY sounds like you would rather be doing literally anything else. The fact that I actually find Orko entertaining instead of ‘annoying’ has nothing to do with this, just going off of what I’ve read on this review site.

    1. Hi Mitch, thanks for your thoughts! I’m (obviously) aware I don’t have to do this, but actually I genuinely enjoy it. I consider the Filmation He-Man to be one of the best kids’ cartoons ever. She-Ra I’m less convinced by, but I loved watching it all and writing the reviews. Perhaps it comes across like I hate it all, but I don’t. If I did, I would have stopped!

      1. I think your reviews are great and you have very funny style of writing. I always check you out once I’ve seen an episode.
